ceramic coating Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential to maintaining the durability, shine, and performance of your ceramic coating. Follow these guidelines to keep your vehicle looking its best.
Why Aftercare Matters
Ceramic coatings provide a strong protective layer against dirt, water, and UV damage, but regular maintenance is key to preserving their benefits. With the right care, your coating can remain effective for years, protecting your vehicle’s paint and enhancing its appearance.

When in doubt boost it out!
We offer Ceramic Coating Maintenance Washes and Boosts to enhance the protection and performance of your Coating. The Coating is porous like skin and can get clogged with road contaminants which reduces the hydrophobic properties and shine. A Maintenance Wash and Boost completely restore the beauty of the coating.
Ceramic Maintenance Washes and Boosts are suggested every 6 months for $175
Each visit includes:
Full Iron Decon Wash to remove contaminants
Claybar Treatment to exfoliate the pores of the coating
Graphene Prime UV coating to boost the Ceramic, adds another 1 year of coating that reports to CARFAX, adds an additional mill of hardness, and restores the Coating to like new condition
INITIAL AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS - FIRST 3 WEEKS
Avoid washing your vehicle with chemicals for 3 weeks to allow the Ceramic Coating to fully cure. Premature washing can shorten its lifespan.
After the 3-week curing period, follow the recommended methods: hand washing, touchless washing, or waterless spray between washes.
Bird-dropping, bug-splatter, and tree-sap are the Enemy. Ceramic Coatings aren’t indestructible and can be damaged by acidic contaminants. Remove bird droppings, bug splatter, or tree sap promptly, and avoid parking under trees to prevent etching and scratches.
Keep a quick detailer in your car and blot instead of wiping to minimize swirls and scratches.
Steer Clear of Exposure to Water and Rain. Ceramic Coating needs time to cure. Exposure to water, rain, or fog can reduce its durability and cause water spots that require buffing and reapplication.
Cleaning Instructions
Use a pH-Neutral Shampoo: Select a high-quality car shampoo that is safe for ceramic coatings. Avoid products with wax or harsh chemicals.
Rinse Thoroughly: Start with a thorough rinse using clean water to remove surface dirt and debris.
Hand Wash Only: Wash your car using a soft microfiber wash mitt and the two-bucket method to prevent scratches.
Dry Gently: Use a clean microfiber towel to dry the car. Avoid air drying, which can leave water spots.
Pro Tip: Perform a light wash every 1-2 weeks to maintain a pristine finish.
